The "Swattie" is one awesome creek that you truly will enjoy. The Swattie is so protected that you feel like you are in a world of your own. Birdlife and wildlife are abundant along most of the creek.

DATES: 

Wednesdays July 14th, August 11th, and September 8th


TIME: 

1:30-4:30PM


COST:

$80/single kayak; $65/person for tandem kayak or canoe; or $55/person for personal boat

 

(includes life jacket, paddle, shuttle, and guide)


LOCATION:

Meet at Susquehanna Outfitters (directions), and we'll shuttle you to the start

ASK about our private float: For $150 plus rental fees, we offer a PRIVATE FLOAT on the Swatara Creek, which includes a paddling lesson, an expert guide, and an eco-discovery tour (optional). Private floats have a five-boat minimum.

Conodoguinet Creek Floats

 

Anybody can paddle this creek but not everybody can pronounce its name. It's easy paddling, with a wide channel. The shallow water is perfect for beginners or paddlers with children, and the wildlife on this trip is remarkable. Enjoy the creek's ribbon of greenery, alive with herons, kingfishers, and other streamside creatures.

Yellow Breeches Creek Floats

 

Designated a Pennsylvania Scenic River in 1992, the Breeches is famous for its sparkling clear water. The intermittent riffles and sharp bends on the Breeches make it a little more challenging for beginning paddlers, but the incredible beauty of this unusually high-quality creek puts it high on almost everyone's list of MUST-PADDLE creeks.

Sherman Creek Floats

 

A local treasure that few people get to enjoy. The Sherman Creek slowly snakes through Perry county and can be seen from the scenic vista Hawk Rock from the Appalachian Trail. Don’t let this opportunity float by you!
